EASPD Webinar: Ensuring access to education during COVID-19

The social distancing measures imposed by European governments in an attempt to stop the spreading of Covid-19 forced schools to temporarily shut down across the Member States. In order to enable teachers to continue teaching their students, online platforms and tools have been used for implementing homeschooling. Unfortunately, the switch from classroom to online education brings additional challenges to learners with disabilities and their families. During this webinar, a panel of experts will try to answer questions such as:
- How education support services can adapt to meet the needs of learners and their families while homeschooling.
- How support services can support learners and their families as schools begin to re-open within the confines of Covid-19 lockdown measures.
- The specific training needs of teachers to provide inclusive online schooling to learners with disabilities.
- The key actions that must be taken to ensure that online learning platforms are fully inclusive in the future.
